EnerSys, the manufacturer of ODYSSEY batteries, announced it will showcase its new line of ODYSSEY batteries for powersports vehicles at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
All three models, regarded as the most popular sizes for this application and the first in these group ranges to be available with proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, according to EnerSys, will be on display in ODYSSEY battery booth #A1838, November 1-3 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
Featuring a drop-in fit for seamless installation, without accessories needed, ODS-AGM14 (Group size BTX14), ODS-AGM20L (Group size BTX20L) and ODS-AGM30L (Group size BTX30L), are ideal solutions for a variety of popular vehicle models including Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Polaris All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), the company says. They can also be used in other powersports vehicles, including snowmobiles and Personal Watercraft (PWC) applications.
“This year, our exhibit will offer AAPEX attendees the first look at three new models of ODYSSEY batteries that are designed for the range of demanding conditions that powersports vehicles face out on the terrain,” said Dave McMullen, senior director of global marketing, transportation & specialty at EnerSys. “Operators will now not only enjoy the benefits of our proprietary TPPL technology in the most common battery sizes for these applications but add in the convenience of having a drop-in fit for easier overall installation and the transition to an ODYSSEY battery powersports model will help enhance the customer power experience.”
In addition to its new line of powersports batteries, this year’s AAPEX ODYSSEY battery booth will feature the debut of the ODYSSEY battery-branded No. 3 Team Penske INDYCAR Chevrolet. 2021 INDYCAR SERIES Rookie of the Year, Scott McLaughlin, drove this premium-powered racecar for the checkered flag during its first series race appearance at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in July 2022 and it continues to lead McLaughlin down a path of victory.
Throughout the duration of the AAPEX show, several internationally recognized motorsports personalities are set to make a special appearance at ODYSSEY battery booth #A1838 for attendee photo ops and “meet-and-greets.”
Following is the confirmed list of scheduled appearances:
- Tuesday, November 1 – 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Richard Petty, NASCAR, Motorsports, International Motorsports and Diecast Hall of Famer
- Wednesday, November 2 – 10-11 a.m. Rutledge Wood, car enthusiast and NASCAR analyst for NBC Sports; 2-3 p.m. Austin Cindric, driver of the No. 2 Ford Mustang for Team Penske
