AAPEX’S COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

AAPEX unites the entire auto aftermarket supply chain under one roof, providing unmatched access to the latest advancements, trends, and insights. It’s where you’ll find the solutions you need to take on current and future challenges, including the environmental and social impacts of our industry.

Knowing AAPEX has an opportunity to champion sustainability within the auto aftermarket, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and the Auto Care Association have established long-term objectives related to the sustainability performance at the annual AAPEX event. These objectives address the most relevant environmental impacts of the event while aligning with the values of the community.

BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE AAPEX 2024

Partnership is crucial to sustainability success, and we couldn’t do what we do without the support of our attendees, our exhibitors, and partners — like The Venetian Expo, Freeman, and other key vendors — to make AAPEX environmentally sustainable.

EXHIBITORS AND FREEMAN SERVICES

Make a difference by joining the AAPEX Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge. Simple actions like waste reduction, water and energy conservation, and sustainable procurement can have a big impact when multiplied across exhibitors. And participating exhibitors will be recognized at AAPEX. Be sure to consult with Freeman on your expo orders. Freeman is committed to achieving net zero carbon by 2050 and reducing GHG emissions by 50% by 2023. With ISO 14001 and ISO 20121 certifications, Freeman is there to help guide you through sustainable offerings at AAPEX.

THE VENETIAN EXPO

The Venetian is heavily invested in eco-friendly operations in Las Vegas, including waste reduction, resource conservation, and using sustainable materials. The LEED-certified property currently maintains one of the highest recycling rates in Nevada (73%), was one of the first to achieve APEX/ASTM advanced (Level 2) Green Venue certification, and was named top hospitality company in Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings and received a 100% score on the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

HOW ATTENDEES CAN SUPPORT SUSTAINABILITY AT AAPEX

It’s easier than ever for attendees to be sustainable at AAPEX. Here’s how you can make an impact:

Recycling made simple

Recycling at The Venetian is single stream, meaning recyclable materials get sorted at the recycling facility. No need to sort your recycling at the event.

Moderate Consumption

Take only what you need at food functions. This helps reduce waste and carbon emissions associated with food production.

Be Energy Smart

Remember to turn off lights when leaving your room and participate in your hotel’s Linen Reuse Program, which conserves water.
